That is adorable! When my site worked, I had all stages using the same size image. A lot of transparency on the eggs but it kept loading consistent and avoided problems.

Speaking of 2D animation, I wonder if there's any free software similar to Spine, since it sounds like it would be awesome for this sort of thing (simple animations that don't move all that much).
