Make free pet not show in adopt page?

On my site I have an explore feature which allows users to find pets while exploring. I want the pets found while exploring to not be found anywhere besides exploring, but I don't know how to make it not show in the /adopt page, when it's not in a shop.

Is there a way I can do this?

Umm, did you try just adding a pet to the owned_adoptables table when a user clicks a certain page?

When adding an adoptable to the site. You can sort of like "trick" the sites users into thinking its not there.

Don't add it to shops and I believe this should seal the deal on the "Adoptable Conditions" select "Only when users use promo code".

I am unsure if "Only when users use promo code" will disable trading of the adoptables or if you even want to allow that.

Trade does work with promo code adoptables. If trade is enabled, you can trade them.
