Default help needed with upgrade

hey, it's me again :D

I've installed the upgrader folder in my "adoptables" folder on my FTP, like it said in the other thread on how to upgrade. And when I try to run the upgrade on http://www.borrowedangels.com/pets/upgrader I get the following errors.

PASS: Your old levels.php file has been found successfully.

FAIL: We could not find an installation of PHP EasyAdoptables on this database. Did you remember to install the new Rusnak PHP Adoptables script on the same database as your existing install?

FAIL: We could not find an installation of Rusnak PHP Adoptables on this database.

Now I'm just wondering what I did wrong...:( can someone help me out again?

It looks like it is not finding either the old install or the new one. Did you install the new version on the same database as the old version before attempting to run the upgrader?

if with new version, you mean "Rusnak_PHP_Adoptables_100", that one is in the folder that my adoptables folder is in. Could there be a problem that I renamed my adoptables folder to "pets" when I first set up the adoptables site?

I don't know if renaming the folder could have caused any issues. It's odd that it's not finding the old and new versions.

You have the new version currently installed at /pets, correct? Did you install it and is it working and not giving any errors? Do you have at least one user account on the new version?

Where is the old version installed on your site?

the old version is the folder called pets... I think I'm getting confused :( I should install the new adoptables folder like I did the old one? Like create an MySQL and everything?

edit: okay, I added the website and installed the new adoptables folder.
website is: http://www.borrowedangels.com/Adoptables/index.php

I tried the upgrader again and it still gives me the same error o.O

Install the new adoptables script like you did the old one, only instead of making a new MySQL database, use the same details you used when you created the original MySQL database for the old version.

Make sure you install both on the same database. Also, now that the new one is at /Adoptables then you can upload the /upgrader folder to Adoptables/upgrader and then put levels.php inside the upgrader folder. :)

I got one step further, hahaha :P with the upgrader in the new Adoptables folder :D

PASS: Your old levels.php file has been found successfully.

FAIL: We could not find an installation of PHP EasyAdoptables on this database. Did you remember to install the new Rusnak PHP Adoptables script on the same database as your existing install?

PASS: Your new installation of Rusnak PHP Adoptables was found by the installer..

And I'm not sure what you mean with the same details for the MySQL... when I used the name for the MySQL I used for my old adoptables site, it gave me a whole list of errors :( but with the new MySQL it seems to work. Or will I have to use the new SQL list through the PHP admin thing on the old MySQL? I'll try that...

Are both sites on the same domain? You should be able to use the same details for the database user, database password, database for installing the new version as you did for installing the old.

You can also now import the tables from your old install in PHPMyAdmin to the new database if that's how you want to do it. :)

Don't forget to delete the update file, or perhaps your site could be stolen? Or?
