I think for the style you're going for non-pixel would be better

PFFT Pixel Art is awesome I had a pixel based site once (PixaAdopts, lol), but sadly it died I made so many little pixel stuffs for that Dragons, Kirins, Aliens, Horses, Goats, Bats, Fuzzy things, etc
