Tiny Things

I really need to practice my small-scale digital artwork if my website is to be anything but rubbish, so, since Mys needs some default adoptables, I though it'd be good practice...

OKAY! Redrew the penguins and also drew dinosaurs :)
EDIT: Okay, photobucket is working now! Have some penguins ;u;

...and now I really ought to do my Math homework...not that it ever takes long...does that sound vain..?

I personally like it a lot, awesome artwork Iris. The default adoptables sure can use a few bird species in its entire collection, the penguins look nice. And if you dont mind, would you make an alternative form of each stage of the penguin so that the adoptable will have both a primary and alternative image? The exception is egg stage though, since there is no need for alternative images on eggs.

I'm glad they look okay, HoF! Ah, yeah, you certainly don't often see birds anymore. And, sure, I'd certainly make alts :)

I'll try making different species later on...

Sure I like it so far, you are actually pretty good at this. ^^ In future we will be providing a default database sql for new users of this script to play with before they start completely from scratch, which should make it easier for them to get used to the script. Many internet applications have that, especially CMS softwares like Joomla and Drupal. So yeah, default adoptables, default items and more, although the former is more important 'cause thats what I cant make myself lol.

I think I'll be redoing the penguins in a more "cute" style since people who are interested in adoptables usually use either a cute style or a very detailed style...and, well, I can't do the latter so I'll just do cute XD I'll also work on more dynamic poses :)

So, besides the penguin, do you have any other specific creatures in mind..?

That sounds really cool :D It will also attract even more new users, I'll bet. I'm sure you'll be able to find much better artists than myself eventually XD

Hall of Famer 03-07-2013 01:04 PM

Well you can give a try doing the penguins in a cuter manner, I will see how it works out. XD

Umm I am not sure, how about Dinosaurs, Lions, fish, Bunnies and Squirrels? Mythical creatures such as dragons, unicorns and angels also work out well.

...you can shoot me now XD

P.S. Have I mentioned I'm really bad at drawing birds..? And eggs..?

Mmuh. Experimental shading = gross

Seriously, I think that the only stage you need to make "cuter" is the adult stage. ;3

Maybe make the whole set a bit more SD/chibi in style?

Abronsyth 03-07-2013 03:34 PM

Added the dinos and I did redraw the penguins but photobucket imploded on me so I'll have to wait to upload the penguins ;_;

Tequila 03-07-2013 04:12 PM

OMG those dinos are ADORABLE!

Hall of Famer 03-07-2013 05:19 PM

Yeah I agree, the Dino looks quite nice.
