Adopt Problem
When I adopt a adoptable, it adopts 2 of the same thing with the same name. Like if I adopted something called Test, It gives me 2 adoptables called Test, not just 1.

RE: Adopt Problem
Odd... Is this on the old release or the new one?
Link please? :) |
RE: Adopt Problem
New release.

RE: Adopt Problem
That's rather odd. Have you made any code changes at all?
|
RE: Adopt Problem
I haven't changed the adopt.php code at all. I changed siggy.php though. Would that effect anything? I changed the strings on it to only 1 string.
|
RE: Adopt Problem
No, that shouldn't affect anything. I don't know why this is happening for you as there really is nothing to explain how it is happening. Maybe try reuploading a fresh, unaltered copy of doadopt.php and see if that fixes anything.
|
RE: Adopt Problem
Still adopts two of the same. What if I re-upload adopt.php?
|
RE: Adopt Problem
You could try that as well. I'm trying to think though how it is adopting two...it should only really be able to adopt one.
|
RE: Adopt Problem
Or it could be a SQL problem.
|
RE: Adopt Problem
Yeah, that must be it. Maybe for some reason your host's database is messed up. Can you do a fresh install on a fresh database and see if this is corrected?
|
RE: Adopt Problem
Yeah I just took the SQL details from sql.txt made a new database, then copied the adopts_users table to the new database and it worked, would I be able to copy adopts_adoptables to the new database?
|
RE: Adopt Problem
You can try copying it, but if there was a problem there that could issues as well. If at all possible just make new tables, but you can try copying them and see if that solves the issue.
|
RE: Adopt Problem
It was the theme I was using. Something made it adopt 2 adoptables. When I swiched themes, it only adopted 1.
|
RE: Adopt Problem
Ok, that's really weird. :)
|
RE: Adopt Problem
Do you think have it as a side menu would have made it like that?
|
RE: Adopt Problem
I don't know what in the theme could have been the problem. Maybe try re-installing the theme, maybe something happened during the theme install?
|
RE: Adopt Problem
I didn't want to start a new thread, but is it possible to change the font of the letters of the text underneath the adoptable?
