No, there are hosts that allow readfile() that do not have these issues. ChibiKawaii had this problem with Bytehost and concluded it was the host because everything works fine on 000webhost

enddayne is my host now in fact she offered to host me because all the other host gave me readfile() problems. In fact the problem I have now is not a readfile() problem because manually uploaded images work fine.

I just can't upload trough the script.

Hm. I wonder why only the images uploaded through the script would go funky like that.

I have no idea I set the permissions for gif and jpeg to 777 like the install guide said.
