every time I adopt a new pet the gender does not show. Is there some thing is the code I need to change to fix this?

just wanted to get your opinion. do you think I should remove all reference the adoptable's species name?

Go into your phpMyAdmin
and edit the owned_adoptables table, and set every gender to either m or f not male or female.

quick question how do I put the gender symbol back? It seems some how they were removed causing a bit of a gap were they once were.
