No worries Anna, you were among one of those old staff/members with me by the time I took over the script, how could I ever forget your contribution. ^^ It is totally up to you though, you have time to decide what you wanna do with your site and the script.

I was wondering though, how good are you at PHP right now? If you wish to return to the staff team someday, you can help out with the creation/revision of Mods/Addons or you can contribute to the development of new script. But of course, you dont have to do any of these, its your call.

So you will be off until Christmas? Alright, wish you good luck until then. For me its winter break pretty much already(this week is still technically for finals, but all my finals have ended). And btw, you dropped a VM on your own profile again lol.

I understand what you are saying, I can actually give a try revising your old Mods to be compatible with the new version if you dont mind. I need your permission for this though, after all you were the original creator of these Mods and no one should touch it unless you grant the rights.

Oh thanks, I really appreciate all these. Mysidia right now is still far from my expectation of a really professional software, but by version 1.4.0 it will be ready to heavily advertise the script somewhere lol. If you really wish to come back to the staff team and use the script to develop your site again, I dont mind helping you out with the migration. Even though Mys v1.4.0 is not supposed to be upgradable from Mys v1.3.x, I will give a try helping you with that too by the time the future script comes out. ^^

This is true, and the mods I had done for me really are fantastic breeding mods and pet custom creator mods--------I dont really regret getting them done, I just hate that the backbone is still the really old script! I want to migrate to the superior new stuff, but I can't lose all that's modded, either.

BTW fantastic job on all this, you've really put a lot into it!! :)

I understand what you are saying, $700 is not a small number. But come to think about it, I spent $800 to buy this script from Brandon Rusnak and continue its development, now it seems that I pretty much have to rewrite everything. Does this mean my $800 was just a waste of money and effort? I dont think so, if I havent taken over this piece from BMR, I'd never have been the same coder I am now. So think about the positives, you may have wasted some money, but the experience you gained through coding and running sites is invaluable.

I am not sure if its possible, but if you really want to I'd like to try my best to help you. The database migration can be done by modifying the tables, for the script files you just have to pretty much give up on what you used to have. The new version pretty much has everything from the old ones, if you have heavily customized features its still doable.

It's really hard to even think of getting the sites going again, but then I think, I spent like 700 of my own dollars on coding I had done for me-------------that's quite an investment really! But some of the old Rusnak stuff is SO old, it has troubles with errors-----

again, I have so much modded---- would it even be feasible TO migrate it?

yeah looking for something that would integrate a bb code forum---- actually Rusnak isnt gone at all :) I know a few people using it right now, for their sites.

But yeah, if I ever feel ambitious I will migrate to the new version, I just hate to start an undertaking that large -- or maybe it's easy?

I have SO much modded! Way too much to change.

And what do you mean by Rusnak? That script is way obsolete and gone lol.

btw, would you mind click on 'view conversation' before sending a reply? Thanks. XD
