I'm Back! And Have a Problem...
Hello! Long time, no see :P But yeah, I have had a hiatus from my site and everything (I lost motivation on the art side of things..) but now I'm back! :D
Anyway, I am trying to set up a remote server using WAMP (following Kyttias' tutorial) and it comes up with this: I have used WAMP before, but have had to install it again as I've reset my computer since then. I didn't have any problems before... does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks! :) |

Well you can take a look at this thread and Kyttias' answer may work for you.

Thanks for responding ^_^ Sadly, it didn't work.. I already have that uncommented and also have it selected under the extensions :/ I did do a restart of the server, just in case, but that also didn't work.. I'm at a bit of a loss XD

I figured it out! I uninstalled WAMP and reinstalled a previous version (the one Kyttias is using in the tutorial) and that fixed it. I followed all the steps and got it working first time ^_^

Umm so the issue is that mysidia only works with older version of WAMP. In this case I need to take a look at mysidia with the latest WAMP and see why it failed to work. Maybe mod_rewrite is disabled by default, or maybe there is another problem.

It would seem like it! When I followed Kyttias' tutorial I enabled mod_rewrite (as she states in one of the steps) but I'm not sure why it didn't work XD I'm just glad I thought to install the same version as the tutorial or I'd still be stuck >.>

(The newest version of WAMP uses PHP7, I think? That's probably the problem.)

I think the default version is PHP 5.6, and PHP 7 is an option you need to switch.
