Admin failed to login
Hello! I followed the guide to installing and I did the installation process twice. When I finish it and try to login it always says login failed because of the details specified. I'm quite sure it's the right username and password... The user is there in the members list. I tried to retrieve my lost password but I got no emails in 2 hours of wait.
I'm sorry if this is a stupid problem but I really can't figure out why it's acting like that edit I'm using x10hosting with the most recent mysidia version and I didn't mess with the code yet. I noticed this issue happened with other users but in older versions, so I don't really understand it... I went to check the database and the user is indeed there, changed the password and everything and nope... Last edited by IntoRain; 08-01-2013 at 12:40 AM. |

hmm, something like this happened to me, did you put in your name (and maybe password?) case-sensitively?

I tried with different combinations of usernames and passwords (all caps, no caps, caps + lowercase), everything leads to fail_details
I also went to the users database and copy and pasted my username and password. I also wrote them on a .txt and copy and pasted everything. Still doesn't work, so the error must be somewhere else edit Worked by creating a new user and giving it admin power, not quite solving it but yeah Last edited by IntoRain; 08-01-2013 at 02:27 PM. |

Umm did you use some weird characters and symbols in your first admin username?

Is it ok to delete the previous one from the database? Or will it cause some problems with the IDs? And another question... I don't have experience with sql in php context (and 0 php experience), sorry if this is stupid. if I were to do a query, like to count a certain species a person has, how do I do it in php context? Do I just add the query to the database, "call" it in php...? And is there a documentation with the functions and variables? I understand your code pretty well, but I'm kinda lost around so many files x.x Last edited by IntoRain; 08-02-2013 at 03:58 PM. |
