[solved]
New problem.. I am trying to edit the layout, but it isn't reading my CSS.
I have the template.htm and index.html linked to an external css, which I did upload. But it doesn't show the page formatted or anything. Only shows text. :( I did change the global settings too. Is there something I am doing wrong? edit: The css only works if it is directly in the page. I don't like doing css that way ... plus!! the crystalx css is in an external style sheet. :( OK, I know this is a repeat... but I need some help. First off, those of you helping those of us with repeat questions, you are very nice people. I am a beginner at php. I have read several threads, and while some of my problems were addressed in some threads they weren't addressed in threads. I am using 000webhost. So, here are my questions. 1) I have installed the php (thank you Ashje!!) but no idea where to upload the adoptables themselves so that they are accessible by the public. Help? 2) If you edit one script in one file.. do you have to edit it in every single file? I'm talking about mainly the levels. I would like to add more levels/tweak the points required to level up. Do I have to edit this in multiple files, or will it work if I just edit that one file? 3) When I login to the admin panel and try make a change, I get an error "Unable to write to file settings.php" Umm.. I think this is all. (While typing this I fixed a few of the problems.) Thanks!

RE: I have a few problems. :(
Well, you can upload the adoptables anywhere you can upload an image. You can either upload them to your website using the file manager your host uses, you can upload them to your site using FTP, or you can upload them to a site like imageshack.us or photobucket and link to them that way.
Editing the levels will be a bit tricky. The script is only meant to have 8 levels per pet. In the new release (coming soon) there will be unlimited levels per pet. :) For the settings.php error, you need to CHMOD settings.php to 777 using your host's file manager so it is writable. That will remove the errors when you try to change a setting. :) |

RE: I have a few problems. :(
I do not have a settings.php file. I have set.php though.

RE: I have a few problems. :(
In the inc folder there should be a settings.php.

RE: I have a few problems. :(
Thank you, I found it. PS: You should totally become an adoptables person. xD
