can you explain this better?

(Use Level 0 to have the alternate outcome be used from birth. This will not affect the first / egg image.)

if it won't effect the first egg image than i don't see a point. is it basicly adding an extra chance or roll of the adopt being an alt?

and if an alt is used does it stay alt through all of its levels? i don't want a pokemon to become an ult at lvl 1 then evolve to lvl 2 and lose its shiny ult.

does that mean it can go from lvl 1 not shiny to a lvl 2 shiny ult?

that option allows the use of alternate images, it only works on level 1 and up, the "egg" image or level 0, wont be affected, so you will not know if you got a shiny or a normal, until it reaches the next level. when you add a new level just make sure to put both images, and yes the alt stays through all the levels you create, just remember to add both images, the normal and shiny image.

Ditto to what Kristhasirah said, the level 0 is unaffected by alternate image settings, but starting from lv.1 you can do whatever you want with it.

Okay makes sense. thank you very much. Currently my pokemon have a 1/10 chance of being shiny. Does that seem like a good number? I think it seems reachable while still being pretty rare. even if it is a lot higher than standard pokemon games.

Also im still confused on this. say i have levels 0-3. at level 2 the image is standard. when it evolves to lvl 3 does it have a chance of becoming shiny? or is shiny only checked when its an egg. Basically can a adopt switch to ult images at any point in the level chain?
