What is Project Cobalt?

Project Cobalt will be a multiplayer adoptables game where the player collects monsters, to study, battle and explore.

What makes it different than other adoptables sites?

Project Cobalt is a largely story driven website. Rather than adopting monsters just because, the players seeks to understand them, to battle with them, to explore, to compete, and to learn more about the world they live in, including the backstory. Thus, there are several goals, rather than trying to just collect them all.
From the start, Project Cobalt will launch with 50 adoptables ready to be collected, and several adventures, which should be enough to insure people stick around for a while. Afterwards, boosters will be released. Each booster contains about five new adoptables, and a bunch of new adventures, including one main story quest.

What features will you have?

As many as we can.
For now, you can be sure there will be adventuring and quests, breeding, and a lot of adoptables to collect at launch, along with some sort of battle system and forums.

Other possible features are:
• Casino/Game Room
• Competitive Events
• Several items with various uses
• Dorm Room and user house features
• Comics
• Premium/Beta Accounts
• Two types of currency
• Easter Eggs
• And other things you can propose

How often will it update?

Depends on what you mean by update. There will always be things to do, such as daily riddles that award prizes, contests, and etc. Boosters are done when they’re done, which might be a week or several months, depending on how much content is there. Like every site run by a small team, slow periods might occur, but you should have enough stuff to do in the meanwhile, such as breeding or participating in PvP events.

Why say Project Cobalt? Why the lack of a story synopsis? WHY ALL THIS SECRECY???

BECAUSE IT’S A BABY PROJECT AND MANY THINGS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Project Cobalt as it is in the current state has only had minor changes since last year, but there are still many things that might be different on release, and I’d rather not say details now that will change in the future.

Looks very interesting, your site will be heavily event-driven? If so, you may end up using quite a lot of javascript, but its a cool idea really.

The Jackpot is a creature of Will. It lives deep in the mountains where it trains it's body everyday. It's said its antlers have medicinal properties.



The Rox is a creature of Fire, and although powerful, it is very playful and relaxed, although a bit mischievous at times. They're used as quick transportation all over the world.



My, who is this mysterious yet attractive stranger? Surely, it must be a very important and dangerous character, and certainly not a comic relief self insert.
