Question about Freeze Deletion

If I "freeze delete" a pet, does it remove the egg from the Adopts page, or does it leave the image there and just remove the adoptability?

The Adoptable stays, it just can't be leveled up any higher.

I'm referring to the "freeze delete" in the admin section; this is different from a registered person freezing one of their own pets.

According to the Edit Level page:

Freeze Deletion - This will not delete the adoptable, but will freeze it to all new adoptions by members of your site. You can undo this by checking the Remove all adoption conditions from this adoptable checkbox the next time you edit this adoptable.

I'd just like to know whether or not this makes the egg image invisible for that adoptable on the "Adopt" page.

No, it's not visible on the adopt page when it is frozen to new adoptions. :)
