NyuPets Looking for feed back
We have a new pet site in the making that will work on desktop as a website but will be aimed at mobile play. Looking for some quick feedback on it so here is the basic concept, artwork, and quick mock up demo app. We have been calling it NyuPets but the name is not set in stone, please let us know what you think of it.
Concept: Site will be similar to neopets in pet style and items but will also be a cross with tamagotchi making it a more hardcore site. As your pets can starve and die within a week, or become unhappy and runaway or be adopted by another player. This makes age and experience points more impressive on a pet. But friends can help care for eachother's pets. While playing, the site/app will not contain any ads but both the player and the site need revenue to run. The solution is an offerwall, which is a bunch of family safe sponsor links. Clicking a link and viewing the sponsor for few seconds can reward 1 to 20 points. These can then be spent on pets, food, items, or research voting for new code features or artwork. Concept Art: Demo App: pets.gemnode.com/demo Currently only targeted for your mobile phone. JQuery Mobile will not be used for final version, was just for quick mock up. Final version is already started using custom code for both desktop and mobile.
Thanks for checking it out and leaving feedback!

Sounds like a nice idea! I can't really demo it though as I'm getting a 403 Forbidden error.

Looks pretty good so far for a demo. I like the modern look. (: I'd love to see when it's fleshed out more. Not many games allow your pets to die, I think it's pretty refreshing and adds incentive for players to interact with their pets more.
