Default x10Premium Help

Help please :)

I am using x10Premium and I have 2 database users one for me and one for a helper. How do I log in with these users and what do I use them for? I tried on the x10Premium log in page with the correct user and pass but I couldn't log in.

Also, whilst I think about it I would like some help on hiring staff. How do I give them one of these users without sharing the main CP email password etc? Is it just a matter of making their user and password and then when I have worked out how to log them in, giving them the user and pass then they can log in themselves?

I've never added extra users through the user manager, but after doing some searches I found that it's used to log into the site's FTP, webmail, or webdisk; so you can't login to x10 itself with it. You can read about it here: https://www.inmotionhosting.com/supp...s-user-manager
(it says for inmotion hosting, but it should be the same for anything with cPanel).

As for hiring staff, the common practice is to not give them "direct" access since it's highly insecure; the reason being that you don't want any wayward staff shutting anything down from the inside or taking over your account. (so giving your x10 login information is a big no-no). Along with creating database users, you could create a user for each member of staff you hire that would need access. Afterwards, you would give them access to the FTP (which is for managing files), which allows them to edit code remotely without having to access your personal account.

If you want to grant database access, then you have to click on the "MySQL(R) Databases" button in cPanel and add a new user. You can then give that user information to whoever you made it for.
