MultiForums Friendly Hosts

One of your top 5 tips states "Just make sure that your host is ok with you running a free forum hosting site". This gave me the idea that a thread with MultiForums friendly hosts might be rather usefull!

Now heres the catch - I don't really know of any myself :P but JaguarPC's semi-dedicated plans sound promising (http://www.jaguarpc.com/semi-dedicated/) and I hear you use hostevery brandon?

EDIT: I can provide a DirectAdmin reseller and I will be willing to make httpd edits etc to allow the subdomain version to run on your host. PM me if your interested.

Yes, I use HostEvery, but I can't 100% recommend them. I seem to have a bit of downtime every once in a while. When HostEvery works it works real great, but when something goes wrong it goes real wrong, if you know what I mean. :)

Another good host is Crissic Solutions. I spoke with their owner and they're fine with you running a free forum host as long as the CPU usage is acceptable.

Also, I know our very own PowerChaos also runs hosting.

They seem to do a VPS which compares in price to many resellers! (but you don't get cpanel)

Yeah, Crissic seems really good. I've been thinking about moving some things over to them. Currently I am on two hosts, Hostevery for some domains, like mybbmultiforums.com and then Othello for the webringamerica.com domain. This is a nice setup though because if one site goes down I can still offer support through the other. I've been thinking of moving the webringamerica.com domain to Crissic though because Othello is UK based, so I pay in Euros, and me being American the price keeps going up as the dollar falls. :)

Crissic does say in their about us though: "We started in september 2007" and then "Now were in our second year"
Seems someone cant do maths! Also their are yet young.

Maybe they count 2007 and 2008? Technically they are two years. :)

I only use free Web hosting because I don't have the means to use a PayPal account or something similar. These two Web hosting providers allow script hosting, as long as you don't exceed their bandwidth or steal their server load:
000WebHost
XtreemHost, the one I'm using right now
XtreemHost also comes with your own ".co.cc" domain so you don't have to register on www.co.cc to get one. You can't use subdomains for each of your forums though, because you can only have up to six subdomains.

Note: Neither are 100% reliable. Also, in case you wanted to know, XtreemHost is a partner of Byet or whatever.

Hi, sorry for my english...
This script is free? I like it.

Mm.. I do not think installing the script, but I wonder which would be a good host for to install this multiforum with subdomains. Cheap if possible:shy:
What hosting plan have in Hostevery? And was any multiforum script to create forums in mybb, phpbb or SMF in the same domain?

I actually have a custom plan with HostEvery, but right now I can't fully recommend them because they've had some issues lately. If I were you I would use the FreeWebSpace Forums to find a good host. Just let them know you'll be hosting forums when you ask for price quotes.

For other multiforums scripts, with subdomains you can only run one Multiforums script per domain. They will conflict if you try to run more than one with subdomains per domain. For subdirectories you can run as many as you want under one domain.

Mm... Thanx
But can be done to create a subdomain and a file and whether this file is created return error?

Or that the scripts are in a database and have in common a table for the names of new forums. Repet name = error

¿?
Is a question...
