A 'limited edition' Christmas pet
 

Ok so I want to make a Christmas only pet, but not one that is available for adoption every day of the year. My question is: How can I (after the event is over) make the pet impossible to adopt until I next choose to open it up again?

I don't mind if it's not automatic, I just need to know what in the code to backspace. Say, would deleting it's portion in the 'adoptables' list work? That wouldn't hurt any of the 'owned_adoptables', would it?

Yes, just deleting its listing from the "adoptables" table would make it unavailable to new users while keeping it available for those who already adopted it. :)

It won't stop the other ones from growing, right? The existing ones don't look to that page for the next level's image or anything?

No, removing it from the adoptables table should only stop new signups for it, not stop growth for users already using it. :)
