99webs.org looking for staff
 

Hey everyone, 99webs.org is looking for staff to help get sites hosted and started free. We are looking for veteran mysidia members and developers that would be interested in helping others. While also getting benefits such as free hosting and points to exchange for services.


As a moderator you will be given a RESELLER account at 99webs.org. This will allow you to set your own hosting packages and set up clients. This will greatly reduce the work for me and turnaround time for setting up accounts. Also you can advertise 99webs.org on other development sites you frequently visit, to help others you know and set them up with a free service.

You will also be in charge of helping to moderate the forum. As eventually I will not be able to keep up with it all on my own. This should be pretty self explanatory if you have ever been on a forum. No flaming spamming, and make sure all topics in right category.

We are also looking for help in general. Such as ideas, managing social network pages, and promotion, etc...

Nemesis, I wouldn't mind helping out. I've not much going on right now (aside from some basic project stuffs).

What all would you want mods to do?

I was hoping you would be interested tequila.

I will give you an admin account, Its like WHM/CPanel.

You will be able to give out hosting accounts then.

You can also create and host as many of your own projects as you want. Should be better than any shared host you have used before. as this is a dedicated server for us.

Your job is simply to set up mysidia sites or any site for anyone that requests help. With more mods we can help get a lot of people up and running.

We will also need basic forum moderation, but you already know how to do that.

You can also offer/trade your art services there.

I'm all right with that, I think I'm already signed up on the forums for 99webs, should be under tequila. Feel free to PM me there and help me get set up. ;3

We should probably use skype or something so I can more easily explain and answer questions if you need help using our hosting control panel.

Very interested in Moderating, Nemesis! Already working on doing more advertising for 99webs, and I have experience in moderating forums (namely myadopts) and dealing with users. I also have plenty of experience installing scripts (though I do occasionally make silly mistakes, I'm learning from it!), so that's no worry.

I am curious about the Reseller accounts though, could you explain those just a wee bit more?

Reseller accounts just give you the ability to add client accounts.

So I will definitely make you a moderator. But say you see someone is having problems with their account, like can't figure out FTP accounts. As a reseller you have the ability to "shadow" their control panel account and set things up for them.

Another good example is if someone needs a hosting account set up I will allow you to create it for them. So you will help me keep up with requests as we grow.

So as long as you know the hosting lingo, FTP, MySQL etc... and think you could handle administrative powers without deleting our entire database then I can also give you a reseller account.

Okay, sounds good then! Might need a bit of guidance at setting up host accounts for people, but other than that I think I can figure it all out.
