Forgot Admin Login
 

Yes, I know I'm stupid, you don't have to say. :angrybracket: It's just that I was having a lot of problems with getting my site working, and now it is, and I can't remember my Admin login credentials. The reset password function doesn't seem to be functioning. :mii:

To fix the function for resetting passwords, you have to create an email for your site. This must be done through cPanel or whatever file management system your host uses, since it won't be able to send to or from your personal email account. I'm unsure if business/paid gmail accounts work, but they might. (I figured that out recently, since none of my users were getting emails from the site)
Afterwards, you can manually change the site's email to whatever you just made by logging into phpMyAdmin and going to adopts_settings(?). If you can't edit the table, just click on the "structure" tab and make one of the columns either a key or unique column.

I'm not sure where phpMyAdmin is, or how I'd log in. ^^; I am using x10hosting, if that helps.

Once you login to your x10 account and click "open cPanel", it should be the first option under the "databases" section:

You don't have to worry about logging into it manually, since it's automatic.
(also it should be primary or unique, not key or unique. sorry ^^;)

Unfortunately, I get "#1062 - Duplicate entry '[email]' for key 'PRIMARY'" errors whenever I try clicking on "Primary" or "Unique".

That's weird. It does this for both the name column and value column? I was able to do it by setting the name column as unique.

These are all the errors I get:

#1062 - Duplicate entry 'theme' for key 'PRIMARY'
#1062 - Duplicate entry 'admincontact' for key 'name'
#1062 - Duplicate entry '[email]' for key 'PRIMARY'
#1062 - Duplicate entry '[email]' for key 'value_2'

The only other thing I can think of is adding a new column temporarily. That should allow edits.
