Can't do first login

I'm trying to log in for the first time and it tosses me this error.

Sorry, we could not log you on with the details specified. You can try again or request a password reset.

Well are you on x10hosting, this happens to some users after installing the script, as their first admin account has an incorrect password. All you need to do is to reset your password, or to create a new admin account.

Mortain 11-12-2015 03:52 PM

no, I'm not on x10 hosting. I don't think anyhow. I'm going through IMHosted for a VPS. I do have a dedicated server i can move over too if need be Do you think that would help?

Hall of Famer 11-12-2015 04:01 PM

Well I dont think moving to a dedicated server will help anything. Anyway just try to reset your password assuming your admin email address is valid, and see how it goes?

alright, thank you.

You are very welcome. I cannot reproduce the same error on my own server though, but it does affect some people. Like I said, the easiest way is to reset password. Lemme know if it wont work, and I will assist you further.

Now i'm getting 500 errors on the site. I can't see it, but others say they can? I have no clue what's going on now.

I've had this issue multiple times, are you using a FTP like filezilla? If so could you show a screenshot of the folders and files that are in your /public_html?

I believe I know what the problem is, just need to see that to confirm it.

Is your mysidia script installed into a subdirectory? Check to see if you have an .htaccess file in your script folder. If you don't have one then that's your problem. Its hard for me to tell what is in there because of how small the images are.
